I want to make stuff in blender all day throughout the year . Yes its impossible . I ve got college . I ve got lots to study so art is not possible during college. So it ends up like this , only on summers.

I ve made new renderings of my previous Z4. An Ipod shuffle, wholly new made today morning. Well you can expect lots of postings from me the next 2 months.

I ve been configuring my laptop to the way i want it this weekend .I plan to make it good for working with blender and solidworks.

1.I shrunk the 222 GB windows vista drive to 80GB. By the way HP rolls out the laptop with one big vista partition and one recovery drive.

2.moved the recovery partition to one end to get a continuous free space. This took a very long time 1 h 30 min approx.

3.Then i created a 100 GB common drive in ntfs which both vista and ubuntu can read.

Now i m ready to install a 64 bit jaunty jackalope as soon as its released.

I used G-Parted to do all this booting from the Interpid Ibex live CD. Its amazing gparted it can do any type of disk management without any flaws.

I ve been learning to make engineering drawings on solidworks in the past semester. I ve also learnt a lot about engineering graphics and the indian standards for drawing (BIS).We studied projections, solids, orthogonal views, sectioning and development of solids etc...

I ve just completed a few tutorials in solid works. Its great , i may say that its even easy to use than blender. Its professional and made for CAD.

I ve some files which i ve created mostly engineering drawings but also some 3D parts. If any of you guys are intrested in lokking at them ask and i'll put them up on deviantart.

Why not blender?

In our university we 1st years learn CAD with a software called solidworks. Its a good one but costs too much. I like it but my first love has been blender.I havent been working with blender for some 6 months now! I hope i get a little break to work with it, but the nearest one seems to be summer:(
